Socially Diverse
I consider it a sign of health in a Church if it is situated in a socially diverse area, and is socially diverse. This is not the same as being situated in a racially diverse area and being racially diverse. I entered a Church recently which I estimated to be 75% to 25% racially diverse -- but only 93% to 7% socially diverse. In other words, the diversity which mattered was close to nil. The suburb is described as "socially diverse", although figures are hard to come by. OBSERVATION: Elsewhere on this blog, I discuss why social diversity is a good spiritual indicator.

The sign of a healthy church is when the pastor preaches the Gospel, and the people come to faith in Christ
I say here that social diversity, under certain circumstances, is "a good spiritual indicator". So are many things. If, in this case, one's suburb is "socially diverse", yet one's congregation is nearly 100% homogeneous, it is clear that one is not reaching the whole community. Further, one is missing out on the fruit of salvation in a socially diverse setting.
