Failed Pastors (Not)

For my first Master's degree, I studied pastors who "dropped out". The best statistics I could find showed that, in the USA, this was 80-95% of pastors. Should one refer to them as "failed pastors"? Some do -- and in one sense, one could. In another sense, I think one should do so with caution. Was Sir Edmund Hillary (who first conquered Everest) a failed mountaineer because he quit in 1965? OBSERVATION: My own ministr(ies) were uninterrupted between 1982 and 2021 -- except for three months in 1984. In 2021, in a deliberate step of faith, I decided to focus on my writing. That same year, a major publisher accepted my book Everything, Briefly.
