‘We Are Very Worried’

I stumbled upon this today -- a comment that someone left on a survey we did in my old city Church, around 2012. "Please tell us" and "We are very worried" reveal that this was the talk of the Church, not merely a private comment. In fact, at the time, rumours came thick and fast -- there was far more than this. It was seriously damaging to the ministry, and none of it had any basis in fact. OBSERVATION: My Black wife's family were and are devout Christians.

POSTSCRIPT: The more interesting questions are who was fuelling this, and why. At the time, I dealt with the rumours privately. With hindsight, I would probably tackle them publicly. Some of the rumours returned to my Black family, too.
