Stoking a ‘Riot’

I taught Homiletics last night. None of my lectures has stoked a "riot" as my lecture did last night. I said, "Suppose that Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa called you up after the lecture tonight, and said that he had chosen you to preach to the nation on Sunday. What would be your sermon's Big Idea?" A student said, "Jesus Christ." I said, "If that's the whole of it, then no -- there's something that comes before Jesus Christ." This unleashed the Mother of all disputes, that branched off in various directions.
