A Sermon Heard

One might wonder sometimes whether sermons fall on deaf ears. Surveying past sermons, I bravely preached in 1992, 

"I wonder whether our Church budget is a reflection of our riches in heaven. I hope it is not. We give, at present, less than one percent of our budget to Youth Work and evangelising our Youth". 

Then I found a sermon preached in 1993, 

"Now we give more than six percent of our budget to our Youth Work -- and I believe that is very important both for God's Kingdom and for the future of our Church."
