I have often mentioned the poor on this blog, with whom I have had a lot to do in city ministry. I first met this man during my ministry in the Atlantic suburb of Sea Point. Depending whether he can scrape together enough money to pay for shelter, he is on and off the street. He sometimes has odd jobs -- this coming week a painting job. I asked him for a photo this morning. He said: "I owe nobody anything. I am free. You can gladly have my photo. Nobody is going to come looking for me." We spent a while talking about life on the street.
OBSERVATION: As to how people got there (the street), the stories always have substance. And one learns a lot about the world, from a different angle. You may click on the photo to enlarge to 100k.
