It was a hazy day today in Caledon, where I took this photo -- about 110km / 70 mi east of Cape Town. Nine such wind turbines stand outside the town, generating a maximum 27MW of power. The turbines are made in China. OBSERVATION: The haze seemed to come from nearby fires. It calls to mind the words of a song by Roger Whittaker: "There's a mist across the sky where the wild birds used to fly ..."
