There is, I think, some suspicion of the African Church in the West. Further – in my experience – there is even in Africa some suspicion of Africans wielding real influence in the Church. And yet – the last time I checked – Church growth in Africa was unparallelled anywhere else in the world. The African Church has what it takes, both spiritually and administratively. OBSERVATION: The big question is whether the African way is transferable. That is, does it work only in Africa, or would it work elsewhere in the world? I think that basically, yes, it is transferable.
