Typically, in our country, where there is a feast, the adults are served first. In the meantime, the children begin to queue for their food. I took this photo of children in such a queue. The one on the right gives me an accusing look, the one on the left is painfully shy, while the one in the middle peeps out from behind her sister's hair. You may click on the photo to enlarge. OBSERVATION: Depending where a feast is held, it is often men first, women second, children third. But South Africans are not that set in their traditions -- because different traditions continually meet.
