I took the photo of the main thoroughfare to the township
Vergenoeg (Far Enough), outside Kareedouw. This road makes tough going in places. The street lights are not working here, nor is the mast lighting. The cause is an electrical fault. But one needs to look on the bright side. One sees the evidence in the photo that, on this day, water was spurting from the pipes -- it keeps dropping out for days at a time, then comes back brown through the taps. There is a water shortage there at the moment.
