Throughout my ministr(ies) I have told members: the way to judge whether a Church is sound is to ask: "Do I hear them speak about salvation from sin?" "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." And, after all, the great themes of the Bible are: sin and redemption. There are many ways to interpret this world. This is how the Bible interprets the world. And related to this is the question: "Do I hear the words 'repentance' and 'faith' in this Church?" This is often not the case. OBSERVATION: More recently I would add one more: is it salvation from eternal condemnation? Do you hear this in the Church? or is it absent? All this does not imply a cerebral Christianity. Not in Africa anyway. Salvation means change.
