Publishers have very different requirements of authors. Some are delighted if one's work has been published before -- however today I dealt with a publisher who says no if a "substantial part" of one's work is already out there. I am seeking a publisher for a second edition metaphysic -- the first edition was published by the Philosophical Society of England. Did I borrow a "substantial part" of my second edition from the first? I used Copyleaks (see the image) to find out. In my second edition, 5 547 or 9.5% of the words are copied from the first edition. Not substantial.Sunday, November 26, 2017
Copycat?
