Philosophy And Church

Something that is too often under-appreciated is the influence of philosophy on theology, and ultimately on the Church. It is of crucial importance. Theology, said one of my professors, typically lags several decades behind philosophy.  Theologians often adopt philosophical concepts – as late adopters. Narrative theology is a major example. With that in mind, here is (maybe) a more particular example. Do you know a Church which is called a "Community" Church? It may not be difficult to make a connection with a theology of "the community of God", and from there to connect to the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and his "forms of life" (communities), in the mid 20th century. OBSERVATION: My own philosophy, while it is a philosophy and not a theology, provides a "shell" within which theologies could develop.
