Wife E needed to see a surgeon today, due to bone growth which is affecting her hearing, and perhaps her sense of taste. It is not dangerous, but a CAT scan is needed to reveal whether it will have to be operated on, or whether she will have the choice to leave it alone.
OBSERVATION: A possible cause is
cold. She lived in a corrugated iron shack as a child (pictured), in sometimes sub-zero temperatures, and the problem was first noticed in her teens. Was it the cold? Do other South Africans suffer the same? I could not find anything out.
