There wasn't much ado at parliament today, as our new president was appointed inside. These women were beating the drum on parliament's steps, as a small crowd sang his praises with full voice. The mood was happy and relaxed. There were news reporters milling around, and a modest police presence. OBSERVATION: On previous occasions, the atmosphere was determined, intense, militant, with surging crowds, so I was a little surprised by the mood today.
