City Caretaker

Recently I met a past caretaker and his wife, who served under my city ministry. In fact, it was she who began as our caretaker, then she swapped with him. It is always a pleasure to meet past staff. OBSERVATION: It was our policy, as a Congregational Church, to promote people's calling -- everyone's calling. We therefore promoted his calling to ministry, and ultimately he was ordained. An interesting piece of information: he is a descendant of President Steyn of the Orange Free State -- in fact bears the old president's likeness.
