Our Sunday School (Children's Church) teachers approached me once -- all of them together. Would I approach T on their behalf, a young woman, to join the team next year? I ran it by our Church diaconate, then I approached T. T responded with a note: "Wow! I'd love the opportunity to do the teaching, and I don't mind filling in already, when the teacher is not available. I will take every opportunity that God is giving me. I am glad. Thank You!" OBSERVATION: One finds it often. People are just waiting to be asked.

The very same thing happened to me when I was approached to teach or assist with children. I had wished for this for a long time. It's sometimes more meaningful when people seek you specifically out for a task, than when you volunteer, though this is not always the case.
