I think it's the first time that a friend has been quoted in
TIME Magazine. A friend of wife E and me (pictured) spoke to TIME about affordable housing. One of the biggest problems in South Africa is the
commute -- and a growing movement has been calling for affordable housing
without the commute. Personally I think it is in the interests of all to make this work. Personally I think that the movement has been too much focused on its own needs. The issue is (briefly) a subject in my metaphysic.
OBSERVATION: We went to see our friend in hospital once, when she was at death's door. She told
us that she wanted to devote the rest of her life to God. Today, she is
strong and well -- and this is surely what motivated her to make a
