This is an interesting post for me, which I first posted in 2012. It was about my writing ambitions at that time. I shall comment below on what happened next.
"During the past few years, I have made considerable efforts to transfer my writing to theology and philosophy. I have had some success, though not of the kind that is important to me. This year, I am making sweeping changes in my approach:OBSERVATION: I was failing as I tried to satisfy academic publishers, and this post marked the point at which I decided to write my way. It was a breakthrough. In 2013 I had my first philosophy paper accepted, and by 2015 I had two positions as philosophy co-editor and sub-editor.
1. I am writing how I think it should be done, and nobody else.
2. I am aspiring to a blizzard of quantity, to produce faster.
3. I am retreating from formal approaches to publishers.
4. I am ditching academic advisors; their advice did no good."
