I was talking to a part-time pastor who runs his own business. He said that he felt called as a Christian to obey the law. However, this was not so with his competitors in business. They had turned to the black market, and were selling the same goods and services at a 40% discount. The law, he said, was not functioning in holding them accountable. He couldn't see, he said, how he could survive as an honest businessman, yet he couldn't see how he could survive without doing business.
