South Africa is not famous for its ruins -- however, here is one of the better known ruins, in Nieuwoudtville, about 350 km (220 mi) north of Cape Town. They were built by early pioneers and farmers.
OBSERVATION: It reminds of walls in the Eastern Cape, also built by pioneers and farmers. One wonders how they handled those enormous stones. In the Eastern Cape, the Khoisan did it.
