Blackmail

Last month, I received blackmail. People sent me information that only I could know -- and said they had more. But they were correct on harmless detail -- including a computer password -- wrong on damaging information. Therefore, the blackmail was cooked up. Their deadline passed. They threatened me again. And again. I contacted Microsoft, through whom the blackmail was routed. Microsoft said they knew exactly what I needed, and sent me a deluge of advertisements! OBSERVATION: I asked my ISP to track the blackmailers down -- and they sometimes succeed in such things. The blackmailers demanded $2 000, then $3 000.
