I mentioned a course on Critical Openness to an African academic this week. I asked an old professor for a copy, and he sent it instantly (on the right). This was mandatory for every student who signed up for his courses. We have a very great need for critical openness in South Africa, if not the whole subcontinent. Some have understood its importance, though -- as an example, Prof. Jonathan Jansen. My professor's core argument is that, as believers, we are forgiven for being wrong, and we are always wrong, in some way. This opens up the space for critical openness.
