Church Turnover

Here are some statistics I jotted down once, to record what kind of turnover Churches may expect. Note that this is turnover, not losses. All of these Churches grew through their turnover.

• Winning Souls Ministries, Cape Town: 80% turnover in one year
• My own Church in Cape Town: 84% turnover in 14 years
• Life Church Cape Town: 50% turnover in 1½ years
• My own Church in Gqeberha City: 50% turnover in 10 years

OBSERVATION: A different turnover may come as a great shock to ministers, particularly when they are moving to city ministry, where turnover can be high. One needs to see it with the eye of faith.
