Church Exodus

For many years in city ministry, we had an Associate Church, and I had an Associate Pastor. On 22 November 2010 I told this sad story on this blog:
"Our associate pastor G last month lost fifty members in one month, and without the slightest conflict. One of his members had recruited the fifty on ethnic lines and set up a new Church. I need hardly note that G was 'knocked for a six'. I said to him, 'God's calling is on you, and that will be proved.'"
OBSERVATION: And it was proved. Today his ministry is "going like a bomb". Another minister commented at the time, "It's one of the hardest things for a minister to face. We deal with this fairly regularly, usually along ethnic lines as well, though on the surface those leaving usually say it's something else."
