Computational Complications

It had to happen sooner or later. I tried out a Russian operating system, and my computer's touchpad got knocked out. This rendered my computer fairly useless as a portable device. I scrambled for a solution -- guessing that it lay in software or firmware. When (almost) everything failed, I checked the computer manual. It was a keyboard switch, which persisted through sessions. Fn-F7. OBSERVATION: I believe I knocked out the touchpad myself, while seeking to gain control of the screen (still not solved). Otherwise it was a very good operating system: Alt Linux LXDE.
