Installation Failed

I am very wary of anything that has Windows on it. My new computer had Windows on it when it was delivered to me this week. First I made sure that I gained control of the computer from the outside. Then I studied the situation carefully -- and tried to change it on the inside. The dreaded Installation Failed popped up as I sought to replace Windows with Linux. And the best of Internet advices failed. So I followed a strategy of exterminate, exterminate, exterminate (everything on the hard drive, and anything suspicious in the firmware). That was fruitful. I now have a version of Linux Debian running on a Lenovo 300e Windows 2nd Gen, and it looks to be fast and flawless.
