Now here's something that has me baffled. I have three file search utilities on my computer. Using Linux
Fsearch, this searches my entire SSD -- like a hard drive -- as fast as I can type (an image off the Internet on the right). How does it do that? It is effectively instant.
OBSERVATION: Years ago, I programmed some search utilities myself -- to run
within programs. At the time, the speed of a computer still mattered a lot. If one didn't do an intelligent job of it, it very much affected the speed.
