Church Analysis

One of my seminaries taught us to do analyses of the Churches we visited: noting spiritual and material features, among other things. This morning I attended a Church of which 96% of the congregation were younger than me. Just 2% were working class. Two-thirds were White, one-third Black. I estimated 3% renewal (new faces) per annum over several years. 20% had some assigned role. 6% addressed the congregation. One-third walked in late. And so on ... OBSERVATION: This is a picture of a thriving Church. Renewal is a bit slow, to my mind. And the absence of the working class is indicative of various things.
