Expenditure vs. Stamina

A friend of mine, a short while ago, burnt out in ministry. She was a fine member of the Church team -- an asset spiritually and "physically". I thought no, not another one. Why did they let this happen? Why did they do it again? Who do Churches continue to do this? What was the senior pastor thinking? For now, she is lost to the ministry. OBSERVATION: Both my late wife Mirjam and I studied ministry burnout postgraduate. People are staring at the obvious when it comes to the solution. People's expenditure of themselves must equal their stamina. But what is the expenditure? It is chiefly spiritual. Apart from the Church caring about this, people should also know how to limit their expenditure of themselves. Again, the answer is chiefly spiritual, above all that it is God's work.
