Map of Beru

There was a great deal of interest in this map, elsewhere on the Internet. It is the atoll of Beru, which my grandfather drew in 1966. He did not have the benefit of an aerial view, so the map is somewhat out of proportion. I myself lived in Rongorogo, the LMS mission station in the middle. There is no airport here yet, and there still is a leper colony bottom left. The giants' graves, which I showed recently on Facebook, are near Tabukaokao. The remains of the ancient, original meeting house are near Nuka. The giants' footsteps are south of Nuka.
