I have the rare privilege of alternating between vastly different cultures: African and European. With this in mind, I have the sense that many (post) modern sensibilities represent a new cultural supremacy or hegemony. The developed (First) world expects everyone to dance to their tune. There is a point to cultural sensitivities. However, there are other worlds, which care not about the things the developed (First) world agonises over. OBSERVATION: I have made a few major mistakes in African and Pacific cultures in particular, but they have responded with love -- and sometimes with kindly sternness.
