Noticing Mixedness

Wife E and I exchanged seats in a car near the city centre -- Black and a White, as we are -- each alternately taking the wheel. A passenger asked us, "Do you get strange looks from people, for being a mixed couple?" We said no, not in the city -- but in the country, yes. Our passenger had asked the question because she had noticed strange looks! OBSERVATION: Generally speaking, our mixedness enriches our lives greatly. There have, however, been both petty and (some) very serious incidents of anti-mixedness.
