AI (artificial intelligence) commits theft, they say. How might it commit theft? My new book was copy-edited with AI -- although I didn't follow all its instructions. I found that it robbed me of my own unique use of language. Unique? I wondered what it would do with other unique uses of language -- well known ones, by famous writers -- for example, Shakespeare. It allowed various such phrases that I fed it, even though they were not pure or standard English. I assumed therefore that AI purloined these phrases.
