Church Ethos

Someone wrote to me that the spiritual content of Churches in Europe is insipid. This is surely generally true, particularly when compared with other parts of the world. I replied with an advertisement for a Church in Europe (I copied this off the Internet this week):

"As a worshipping community, we continue to worship together virtually every Sunday. For the whole community, including those who are unable to join us virtually, a reading is chosen to contemplate. This week’s reading is from the apocryphal Gospel of Thomas. ... Our premises provide a home for a diverse range of friendly community groups that meet here on a regular basis. Thich Nhat Hanh Sangha ... Zen Space ... Insight Meditation Monday Sitting Group ..."

OBSERVATION: Which Churches score highest  for content? The answer: Roman Catholic Churches. That is because the content is contained in their liturgy.
