Old Wood Bridge

This is a super-wide-angle photo taken from a slipway at Milnerton Lagoon in Cape Town. One sees the Old Wood Bridge in the background -- which was once the original route to Cape Town's north coast. The coastal road which it served has been partly cut away by the ocean now. OBSERVATION: For 17 years, the Old Wood Bridge was derelict and unsafe -- and closed. In 2019, it was restored, and opened again to pedestrians and cyclists. This photo is taken from Woodbridge Island, with the mainland in the background.
