Under New Management

It's a classic: someone forgets to switch off the microphone. My own most memorable moment was just after I got married in 2013. I conducted a service, and said the benediction at the end -- and while the Church was still full of people, my new wife beckoned to me -- I should come on down. The organist saw it, and smiled. I leaned over the pulpit, and said to the organist: "My life is not my own any more!" This was broadcast forwards and backwards through the Church, and even to an adjoining foyer. OBSERVATION: Which is not necessarily a bad thing -- that one's life is not one's own. Apart from many benefits, from the Christian perspective one "serves one another in love".
