Leica Repair
I am in the unenviable position of owning two non-functional Leicas. The newest one, I'm not sure what ails it. The one before that, it died an assisted death. But it survived a lot. For instance, I dropped it and it bounced seven times on tar, and showed no sign of injury. I took the bold decision yesterday to have it repaired. The first Leica I owned (pictured), I gave away. One will see that it survived some very rough handling, too. OBSERVATION: My wife has the equivalent Panasonic, of the one pictured here. The Panasonic is wow, but I can say without any hesitation that it is not as good as "the same" Leica. The trouble with Leicas is that, after having owned one, one cannot stand anything else.
