Repentance In Reality
Someone asked me today whether anyone, through my ministry, had repented as a result of me directly confronting them with their sin. I said that I knew of no small number of people who had repented, in the sense of turning their whole lives around, through my ministry -- however, they had repented of sins which had little or nothing to do with a direct confrontation by me. Or one could say that the confrontation happened through God's Spirit speaking to them about things I said, without me really knowing it. I cannot, in the moment, think of any obvious and genuine repentance as a result of a direct confrontation by me. Only crocodile tears, as best I could tell.
