“Fatal” Electronics

I made a fatal mistake. I destroyed a first class inverter -- one of my essential tools. An inverter typically generates mains power from a car battery. The reason for my mistake is clear to see. I was working frenetically in low light, continually repositioning both battery and inverter -- and confused these two power leads. OBSERVATION: It's my own fault -- yet in my view, electronic design should not permit mistakes like this. One has electronic devices on the one hand, humans who use them on the other.
