Recently I began to write more openly about my experiences in ministry -- which includes the close of my ministr(ies). I have however held back a great deal. People remind me that I am unlikely to gain anything through recounting events. I say of course -- you have read the posts, and the nature of the situation(s). But who says that blog posts must be about gaining anything? In my experience, such major events or currents as I have described are in ministry all the time, yet seldom are they revealed. Not only that, but through such things, damage is done to ministry and damage is done to the Church, while ministers are silent. People say, there will be those who don't believe you. I say of course -- but I give people the opportunity to know. To form a balanced opinion, not so much about me as about the dynamics of Church and ministry. OBSERVATION: There is much more to my rationale than this, but enough for one post. Some time ago incidentally, I put the issue of openness to the Human Rights Commission -- which is covered elsewhere on this blog.
