Through my ministr(ies), I have come across various situations which I have called "heroic". In one situation -- the subject of this post -- an old man fell ill and soon went into terminal decline. For a whole week, his wife held him in her arms, until he died. I said to her that she had been heroic. She said: "It wasn't heroic. There wasn't anything else to do." OBSERVATION: And perhaps that is what heroism is. It is the only thing to do, where some would see various things to do. So long as it is the right thing to do.
