During my studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, my professors twice graded my writing higher than 100%. Such brilliance, they said, could not be properly reflected with a perfect score. Now the tables are turned. Instead, I am grading the work of others, for publication. No longer am I the brilliant student. There is no one left to judge my work -- at least, not in the same way as it once was. I seem to have only memories to run on now.
