Community Ministry

In the city, I did quite a lot of ministry to the community. This is a funeral service (pictured) of 11 May 2013 -- and it looks as though the press were there, although I don't now remember why. It is hard to place a value on one's ministry to the community, however I felt that it was a crucial part of the viability of our Church -- any Church -- in an urban setting. OBSERVATION: The other side of the story is that the Church in itself has to have a far higher priority than the community, or there won't be a Church which can really be useful to the community. One had to set limits on such ministry -- or find a balance. This was always done with the Church. A minister doesn't shape such policy alone -- if at all at times.
