Ministry Poles Apart

There may be two ways of looking at ministry -- which are both rooted in the minister's trust in God, yet are poles apart. The minister trusts God:
a) to make him or her a superhero, or
b) to use his or her nothingness.
Personally, I think that this is one of the most important things to know about ministry. God saves people, God grows people, and God does it through the ministry. A minister just walks in, walks out, and watches what God does. OBSERVATION: These are not idle musings. Research has shown that the ministers described by b) are the ones who tend to endure. By "superhero" is meant the minister who has all the credentials. Compare 2 Corinthians 3:5.
