Township Church

I took this photo of a township Church, in Borcherds. The congregation is receiving the blessing at the end of a two-and-a-half hour service. As in the case of very many township Churches, it is made of corrugated iron and a wood frame. Unfortunately, since this photo was taken, all the electrics were stripped out by thieves. OBSERVATION: One will see that the men are seated on or near the altar, while the women are seated in the "pews". All the older women wear head-dresses. There are many children in the congregation, who stay in Church throughout. The colours are again typically African.
