‘Mistaken’ Sentencing

I was talking recently to the friend of a paedophile, after the paedophile had been sentenced to several years in jail. The police had made an awful mistake, he said. He was such a nice man. Yes, he had seen him picking up children in public places. But you know how people are. They so easily jump to conclusions. OBSERVATION: It is difficult to believe that "good" people are rotten. In fact, they have to be good -- mostly -- or people would write them off as rogues before they had the chance for any evil. The history books are full of it, and so is the Church, alas.
