Kinds Of Narrative

I took the photo this morning of Mahlatse Mashua, the director of Ravi Zacharias Ministries South Africa. He began by speaking about narratives. A narrative, today, is the story which gives one's life meaning. To put it too simply, some say that Christ is "a" narrative (post-liberal theologians), some that He is "the" narrative (conservative theologians). Mahlatse Mashua said that Christ is "the most complex" narrative. This is interesting. It is the first time I have heard it. Presumably he means to say that Christ is meaningful within every narrative. OBSERVATION: I am writing the second edition of a meta-narrative at the moment, which is a narrative that encompasses all narratives.
