Returning Treasurer

I blogged yesterday about a negative treasurer, when I started my city ministry. Not only was he negative, but he became oppositional. Then he moved away. About fifteen years later he returned to our Church -- now an old man grieving over the loss of his wife. He carried the order of service of her funeral in his suit pocket every Sunday. He said to me: "I was not sure I would be welcome here." I said: "Of course you are welcome here. We are delighted to see you." He stayed with us -- until he died.
