Linguistic Joke

For want of a post this morning, here is a linguistic joke -- intended to show that one can't muddle up a sequence without it looking strange:
Minister: "Yes I can."
Parishioner: "Can you see into the future, Reverend?"
OBSERVATION: There's a lot that one can't do with language, and surprisingly little that one can. Some say so little that we are incapable of finding the truth. In other words, we are in bondage to a corrupted language. That agrees with the theologians who say that the intellect is corrupted.
